I can see if we've got any guest permits that you can use, if you'd like me to. I don't know if they'll work in front of your house, though.

Apparently the car has to be parked within 3 blocks of the address written on the permits.. My housemates said they got a few before I moved in just in case if I had a car, so hopefully I can buy them off of them. Thanks, though!

That sounds like a major pain. Is there no place you can park at all, even a bit further, that doesn't require a permit?

I may be able to park the car downtown (a little over 2 miles away) in a parking lot for god knows how much money without a permit.
