The centerpiece of my personal altar space is a dish that I made long ago in a community college ceramics class. It's crazy how much a piece of something can mean to you. I have a Fisher Price piggy bank that I cherish more than anything worth large sums of money because it reminds me of my dad.

I have an ugly bowl too! I made it at Glastonbury festival because I was missing my then husband-to-be too much to enjoy myself and I poured those feelings into the bowl, which became the most hideous bowl ever made but took away that negativity and allowed me to have an awesome last couple of days.

The little things matter.
