i really need to quit smoking. i don't enjoy it that much anymore, besides the fact that i am obviously addicted, and get really angry and disoriented if i go too long without one. then i feel normal again after having one, but it's lost the satifaction it used to give me. ever since i saw the "bodies" exhibit in florida, i just picture my nasty ( Read more... )

My dad left burn marks all over the place when he still smoked (he's quit at several points, but I actually get the feeling that he's finally quit for the last time on this go-round), and he'd always be mad at himself for it. I'm glad I quit smoking, despite the seemingly unavoidable weight-gain. There was a point too where it was less enjoyable for me...I'd wake up with a sore throat all the time, I'd cough a lot. I'd just recommend joining a gym or taking up some regular sporting activity when you get serious about quitting. The activity will help you vent your agitation and keep you from becoming a Lane Bryant girl. Not that there's anything wrong with Lane Bryant girls, but I think that would upset you...

I had no idea daily tasks were difficult for you - it's a really intimate portrait you paint...the toothpaste cap and clothes on the floor. Sounds like my apartment actually, except I am quite good about the toothpaste cap for some reason. Dishes, however, and clothes, and much else: not appealing.
