Maybe I just forgot to take my brain medicine, but for the life of me I can't get any video off this Canon FS20 Flash-based SD camcorder. The files are there because I can play it back on the camera. When I put the SD card in a card reader on my computer it only sees JPG files, so I can't transfer the MPG. Canon says I have to use their ImageMixer ( Read more... )

Looked like the software just didn't like a driver or something with my main Vista 64 box. Worked alright with my XP laptop.. :\ Cameras themselves are great though, for what they are. Battery life kinda sucks, but the whole thing is so tiny that's almost understandable.

software is 10x harder to get right most of the time.. and a lot more expensive than that

Agreed. But I wish that the camera would just show up as a removable storage device and you could simply copy the video files off instead of having to use proprietary software, you know?
