Backpack Inventory

Jul 24, 2010 17:30

Just re-packed my backpack to ensure everything was accounted for. I keep it packed and ready to go in general but it had been laying in my bedroom since my Smoky Mountains trip, half packed. Here's the current inventory

Priority 1 - Survival
  • Can Opener
  • Compass
  • Flashlight
  • Flint and Striker
  • Magnesium Fire Starter

good info, camping

Missing: Cookbook - Fun With Long Pig!

Also, two ropes? Utility and bondage?

LOL
I occasionally packs a book or two, but it's most often "SAS Survival Handbook"

The description column was not included. One rope is 3/8" and the other is 1/4". I like to have both for various things, and I frequently need two segments of rope. Instead of continually cutting my rope and shortening the effectively length, the two different ropes works out well for various applications.

Half my coworkers are convinced that I injured my knee in the Smokies doing some crazy/scandalous mountaintop acrobatics. No one will believe me when I tell them I was just innocently wrasslin' a barr.

I'm now imagining him in a bear fursuit.

I think I just peed myself a little.

I went camping in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina several times a year as a child. Did you happen to go across the bridge at Grandfather Mountain, and feed the obese bears peanuts?

I fly every week and also have most of that stuff with me in my laptop bag. Except the saline and water, because, you know, those are terrorist tools.
