::Hugs:: That's definitely not the most heartening article, but look at it from this perspective. According to DoD statistics, military deaths have actually decreased since we invaded Iraq in 2003. Although combat deaths and casualties have obviously went up, there has been a significant decrease in casualties and fatalties from things like car and motorcycle accidents.

The best way to survive it is to just ignore the news as much as possible. It's good the media reports on it, but we don't need to hear it when our husbands are over there.
