too bad the movies are inversally proportional to the books. the more 'FUKKEN WIN' the book is, the more 'FUCK NO.' the movie is. DD:

TRU DAT. For most cases, at least. Adaptation is a tricky business, granted. But when you watch movies like, say League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, you just KNOW people were licking toads, doing shrooms and smoking some serious badass haxixe while their 7 year old kids were let loose on the studio, producing and filming it in their place.

I mean, it doesn't have to be a xerox copy of the comic but, please, don't fucking ruin it too much?

Mental note: must reread the comics and stop bitching & worrying before due time.

Hey, not all is lost... Peter Jackson did a lot of traveling on the little batata, but LOTR ROOOOOCKED on film! There is hope!!

Like I said, for most cases it is true. Sadly, but it is. LOTR is an example of really successful adaption to movies -- the trip made on Little Batatinhas Airline by Jackson for LOTR is nothing compared to some the big picture.

That's my opinion, anyway. I want LOTR the movie over LOTR the animation ANYTIME, duder. WTFH is that?! So boring, so tosco. :(

I hope Watchmen will be an exception like LOTR is, really. It's so fucking awesome, how can they go wrong?!

Not irish cute bois nor scottish old man made me watch that movie twice. :( It's sad like that.

BTW I can't remember ever watching a movie with Stuart Thowsend which didn't suck. That's very unfortunate because he is cute.

That one brings the lulz alright! I almost died laughing the first time I watched it. That first scene of him seated on top of the amplifier?! Gold. What about Marius bicha pão-com-ovo?! FABULOUS. xD

I kind of enjoyed 'V for Vendetta', mostly because V's identity (face) was never revealed. He dies like that, the movie ends and the mystery about his character is still there. Sometimes I prefer this kind of endings to those that tell you everything. They're more realistic, to me. In real life you very rarely find answers to all your questions, don't you? ;) That aside though, it didn't blow me away (especially the part of the fake kidnapping).

Sincerely, it was a disappointment to me. Hugo Weaving was awesome, as always, but I think the movie itself was really sappy. Oh well.

Here's hoping Watchmen will kick my drama queen ass. xDD
