I won't deny your post made me start crying. Right now I'm passing through that phase you said you would spend long nights thinking about what would you do without your parents... I felt sad for the fact that you miss hugging your father so much, and reading about your father made me remember mine. And also made me remember some other things: personal problems still unsolved; my love for my parents; my fear of death; my incapacity of letting them go. (Because yes, I have to accept the fact that some day they will be gone, and I don't want to wait that long to change and show them how much I love them...)

But... I can't say I'm all sad by your words. I mean, this text you wrote... is not only beautiful, but also... gentle and inspiring. Your father surely was a wonderful person; he'll always stay with you and your family. And no, you were never "empty", my dear.
Nor will you ever be.
:)

You are one of the most amazing human beings I've ever met. And I want to have this strength, this resilience, just like you ( ... )
