In other news, things that have happened since June 6th...
Spirits of Oquayo has been showing well at SaltCON. We went to a Sonic Symphony concert, and have been doing board game nights with friends and neighbors Sean & Sandee. I've visited my dad and plan to visit again next week.
My step-dad passed away from a heart attack shortly after I saw him seemingly doing just fine at a family birthday celebration. The funeral was well attended and comforting.
I've studied up on some of the recent gen AI developments, including winning a contest. I'm still enjoying a couple different tabletop game groups and am planning a board game getaway in January. I'm playing a bunch of Genshin Impact and Stardew Valley still.
Anime Banzai imploded and I've attended HachiCon and Isekai Anime Con which are set to take over the local anime con scene.
FanX was fun- I mostly watched a booth for Narcalid and other local indies. I've started working with PheonixGold, a student at Neumont, on a Games Made in Utah website.
I attended an unconference for the first time and while it was interesting to experience an "all hallway conversation" conference, I probably won't do one again. It did successfully fire me up again to keep learning and improving software development skills, so I'm excited to do more upcoming game jams and keep learning how to do new things to keep up on my career.
