Author's Note I was thinking about how different Maude was with Ezra in Witness than she was in Sins of the Past. Maude-motives are never crystal clear, so this is just me taking a shot at them.

WOW! This was a superbly done look into the heart of Maude Standish. It was so perfectly canon and it really felt like it was a very natural part of the episode. You did such an excellent job of showing us who Maude is and why she does what she does. It's alot easier to understand why Ezra loves and forgives his mother for the things she does.

I enjoyed reading this story very much and appreciate the high quality of your writing!
