So, Sean (Rumhann) and I are moving at the end of next month. We're moving to the Rockville area, but for now I'm at home, unemployed, for a month and a half. I've never done temp work, but I'm looking into it. Any tips? I haven't worked in an office situation in a while, but is there anything I should keep in mind?

Sign up with more than one agency to keep yourself employed with minimal gaps. Always be professional, but upfront with your placement agent.

Test really well. :p And dress very professionally when you go to test and sign-up with them.

Just do your job well and be polite and not completely incompetent and you'll be well ahead of a lot of other temps.

:) Not really sure what else to say. Treat it like any other job, just remember that the AGENCY is your employer, not the ASSIGNMENT.

And don't forget to get your time sheet signed. ;)
