You can put dowel rods with metal eye screws on each end. You put a hook for the eyes on three sides of the center pole. Then when you are putting them up, you put one eye over the top of the metal pin in your uprights before putting it into the tent. After the tent is up, but before you tighten it, you slide curtains onto the dowel and then put the eyes into the three hooks, line them up properly and then batten down. The curtains either are placket types or cafe tabs. I prefer the tabs cause they are easier to open and close. I recommend lining the curtains if you intend to dress behind them and have any privacy.
I would modify this to have a small length of chain attached to the end of the rod. This allows for some flexibility in winds or variances when you setup the tent.
Another good alternative, depending on trunk space are folding screens.
Makes sense, and it's similar to another that was suggested.
If they've got it at Crown, I'll definitely ask to see it. If I can get away from the MoL table long enough... :)
We have Finials. I have been educated in that respect. It helps that when I moved to CM, I had a lot of 'older' SCAdians to help me understand the way the game was played outside of BD.
