Oh hello there LJ long time no see.

Its been for ever since i really updated this with anything of substance. Its been a fairly crazy time for the last few weeks. I was working like mad on the launch of my web mapper for salmon recovery I call Geoviewer (sadly already trademarked) which is up and running now. The retreat for launching it was ( Read more... )

I'm not sure exactly what data I'm looking at, but I can say that the navigation (zoom, pan, etc.) seems to work fine in Firefox, even through I get a popup in the beginning telling me to use IE.

Yeah the data is pretty specific to the fisheries management field right now, but hopefully it will eventually be easy and apparent to any user. Our big win with this version of the project is that its online with a central GIS data server so I can update and upgrade the data and system on the fly rather than sending out a disk every 6 months.

The map works in firefox but some of the features and graphics are only in IE because the the feds only require support for IE and firefox is not accepted under our FDCC regulations, which is dumb.
