Thanks! I think the most difficult thing about the high speed is getting the drips at just the right time. I went through probably 50 shots and only got these 4.

I think I will go find a new subject now, I wish i could get a humming bird that close without blinding it with the flash.

Yeah, I need to play with my camera more. And 4/50 is about 10%, which is about right for shots like that, I believe.

It almost makes me want to get a cheap canon just to do this to.

It is kinda fun playing around with it. I think that many of the DSLR's can get the same results, probably better, but there is definitely something to be said for screwing around with a cheep little camera and make it not suck.

I think its the same reason why i always like my supper old canon. The only automatic thing on it was a light meter that was a little needed that waved up and down.

depends, which model number? mine is an Elph as well. looks like it works all the way back to the SD450s.
