The last time I went to vote was a pain, though. I didn't know about the ID requirement and I still have my old address on my license - AZ drivers' licenses are expensive but good for 20 years, so most people don't change them. I had my ASU paycheck which counted as one alternative form, but I had walked over (didn't want to deal with parking) so I didn't have anything car-related and was a little pissed I had to walk the mile back home and then return. I almost debated not voting, but was reminded of my parents' minister's experiences - he marched in the 60s for equal rights and had several scary run-ins with the police - and decided the walk back was worth it.
