If she did, she must have thinking what a kind of place did I work at given how battered the bills were. I did tell her it was from a garage sale, and when she was having trouble correctly totaling up the bills, I told her I used to be a bartender (which is true, and one of the places I used to work was pretty questionable).

I figure it all worked out to about $20 an hour. The downside is that the money is effectively spent (although the cash is in my con fund jar) - found out yesterday I need to replace a toilet in my master bath. There's a small crack in the bowl and it's dripping. My dad and I will head to the habitat for humanity store tomorrow to pick up a new one (they have new/like new toilets and building/ house supplies people and builders have donated and it will cost about $50 for a new toilet, plus $20-40 for a wax ring and hose). It's not a total loss - the toilet was in bad shape and I had planned on buying a new seat and hose for it.
