Another book down.

Last night I finished Evernight by Claudia Gray. I was a little iffy with it during the first two chapters or so, mainly because it moves fast so things happen and it is a little hard to believe certain relationships, but before you get 1/4 of the way in it works. I really really enjoyed it and I can't wait to read the next book.

The main character and narrator, Bianca, is quite refreshing. She feels like an outcast at the boarding school where her parents now teach and where she now attends. Unlike many books where the main character is described as normal, or an outcast yet really isn't. This girl is. People make fun of her, she behaves awkwardly, and even her mother says "you'll grow into your looks" implying that yes, she is normal looking.

It's somewhat of a reverse vampire romance story. It isn't until halfway through the book that you find out that the dark mysterious boy Bianca has fallen for is the human and she is the vampire (well almost vampire, she was born to two vampires and will become one after her first kill). I kept waiting for one of the characters to be revealed as a vampire and it turns out almost all of them are. I was quite pleasantly surprised and it made me want to go and reread it right away (I haven't yet because my to read pile is somewhat large still).

Hee! A Top Gear marathon on Sunday. My DVR is set. Sweet.

It was so hot today that my frosty melted into soup before I got home.
