I start school next spring, but I am going into criminal psychology.
I would love to go into child psychology, but it hurts to much.
Everything around us causes reactions to our mind, but what you deal with is some of the worst.
My grandfather and all of my great uncles were in WWII. Some recovered, and some never did, and the ones that went onto Vietnam, well, the outcome was really terrible.
But like you said, either you succum to it, or you beat it.
Child psychology... yeah that is hard, but I'd rather it be done by someone who could feel for the kids than by some emotionally off person. But as for PTSD... Kick it's ass? Nope. Survive yeah... there are days I don't know where I am. And it's not cuz I just drank myself to that point. There are days where tying my shoe is impossible because I'm stuck in a land of everythin' I've ever been through. From tripping and falling and busting my kneecap to Dave's bloody and meaty face on me. Alot of recovering is just learning how to keep moving and doin' the job that is life. It doesn't hafta do with tenacity, it doesn't hafta do with what you go through. There isn't a magic wand or pill or ritual or doctor that can 'cure' you of it. Even 'time'. It's really just a matter of learnin' t'live with it.

You don't need to fear anything, is every victims right to get help.
Yes it is, and anyone out there who needs help - don't be hesitant to seek it out. Don't let others tell you that you can't or shouldn't get it. Don't let your own fears hinder you too badly either. Sometimes you (the victem) may need some time to try and get some bearings - that's normal, not everyone can seek help imediately for emotional reasons. But there are many places to help in towns and cities. Everyone deserves the basic human right to help. All you hafta do is ask.
