I'm co-hosting a gathering of roughly 20-30 people. I'm in search of an easy to serve and eat vegetarian (vegan better) dish that I can serve in the crock pot. I had planned to do stuffed mushrooms (not crock pot dish) but realized that the dish needs to be warm and the crock is really my only option ( Read more... )

I'm already doing hummus and veggies so don't want another dip, though I do love 7-layer dips.

Thanks for the recipe links.

7-layer sip sounds good. I'll copy that one down for future gatherings that I go to.

This isn't a crock pot dish, I'm sorry, but I recently had a pot-luck and we're all vegetarian with a few vegans. We made a VERY easy dish that everyone loved and it's great to eat standing up: Sweet potato fries!

All you do is rub some olive oil on a few cookie sheets, cut a few sweet potatoes into sticks or flat chips, evenly cover the cookie sheets, salt, and bake at 350 until golden brown. You should turn them over after about 10-15 minutes to get them evenly baked.

Honey, ketchup, almost anything is great for dip! They were fabulous, healthy and gone within 15 minutes!

I've been making them for years. They're not so good cold.

Someone already suggested veggie meat balls so I will just note in addition to buying premade you can make them pretty easy. Any recipe online which calls for cottage cheese in the veggieball mix will do. Just coat and slow cook with your favorite meatball sauce and voila XD
