Guys are assholes!!! I know how you feel, my dad acted the same way when he left us (Though my mom stupidly let him come back.) Then after constantly criticizing me and bad mouthing my mom he tried to buy me onto his side.

My brother acts the same way as him and now scince he's joined the Army he acts that way and has the ability to kill. Kinda scary combo there.
