World championships

Julia Mancuso took Silver in the Woman's Super G, the first race of the Alpine Skiing World Championships. Now the US is entering the championships with a medal in its pocket despite their star Lindsey Vonn being hampered by a concussion. (She came in an uncharacteristic 7th ( Read more... )

I agree! Julia Mancuso is one of the best women skiers we have. (I still haven't forgiven Vaughn and the officials for ripping her off in the Olympics last year.)

Yeah, that was horrifying for her. She might have tied Bode for the most medals for an American in one Olympics and would have been only one medal behind him for lifetime medals.

I don't think she gets the respect she deserves, but this is a time for her to shine.

(Bode skies tonight in the men's super G. We'll see how he does. It's a big unknown. The women ski next in the super combined in the day after tomorrow.)
