i am so fucking proud of indiana.  we stayed up until 2am central waiting for them to call it.

but i am heart broken for california and prop 8.

and now i need a new icon.

:) I stayed up waiting for it to be called. The local stations were reporting for the longest time that McCain was ahead, but Marion and Lake counties hadn't reported. Its amazing that he made up the margin and then some. I was so freaking excited!

my parents were hilary supporters and were thinking of sitting out/voting libertarian but i told them it was going to be close and they needed to vote obama.

OMG! I know, last count I saw was a 601 vote difference! That is insane and really makes one realize how ONE VOTE can really make a difference! I did vote for Franken, but am not as passionate about that race as I was about Obama, so I won't be refreshing every two seconds, haha, and I'm sure the recount will take a while.

Also, did you see that Washington passed assisted suicide legislation!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know all the details of it but think it's probably a great step in the right direction.
