we currently have a budget of 3k, and we've (theoretically) sold our current car for 1k, so that's 4k towards a new (to us) car. currently looking at renault scenics on a 51 plate, under 80k mileage, all leather interior, all electrics, twin sunroof, alloys etc, but i hate the look of it, how do i get over that when it's a bargain for all the

biaised I know but I do like our Zafira. it's comfortable on very long drives, loads of room and the rear seats fold flat into the floor to give you masses of space in the back for the dogs. Might be a little high for Bracken to get up into is the only thing. Vauxhall parts are pretty much dirt cheap, low insurance and because there's so many of the things on the road the used prices are really low to the point you can get a cracking low mileage car with full history really cheap. Just hunt around and avoid the ones that have been used hard.
