Off to a good start this year.

The Wrestler -- still trying to decide if this was the best movie I've seen in a while or the worst. Aronofsky (or however you spell it) does not understand subtlety. But he does know when to trod lightly upon cliché when the script takes him in that direction. What had me coming out of the theatre liking the film

i saw the wrestler twice in a day 'cause I loved it that much. the '80 tunes. tomei's pierced tits. the actual action. really awesome and it's funny because I'm not even a darren aronofsky fan. I hated his previous movies so i was glad he took a different direction in this. definitely one of the best.

and oh: i did count my 2008 movies watched and it's 260 but not counting repeats and joss whedon shows. I'll scan my list and post it up soon.

I thought the Wrestler was a better anti-drug film than Requiem for a Dream...here you actually spent time with someone who was a walking consequence to drug abuse.
