I wasn't sure I would be, considering how small the community is. :p

nah..... (as long as you'd be willing to become a secondary mod for any community on your friends list if the mod asks for assistance, your joining will be nothing but beneficial.)

muhahaha, my ulterior motive shines through.

but seriously... in this instance, the more the merrier.

I think this is a great idea!

I saw that old post about merging some vegan communities. I'm intrigued by the idea. Shall we revisit it once more mods join in here?

sure. i was all for it back then... but it seems as if there's enough opposition that it probably won't happen.

on the one hand, splitting the vegan community sucks....
but then merging them will increase the traffic. and would that not suck as well?

also, who are we to tell others that they can't have their own communities? some folks prefer being in smaller communities.

sure it dilutes the knowledge base.... but multiple communities has its positives.

I like the idea of grouping it all too. but I'm with you on ----> "some folks prefer being in smaller communities." that part. can you tell I'm from Switzerland? *drives self crazy*

Well, I agree about the smaller communities - I wouldn't want to take away any "culture" that they may have created or anything. I was referring to veganism and veganpeople specifically. I'm not a member of veganism and don't know what the culture is like there, but do you really think it would increase traffic that much? What other negatives can you think of?
At the time of the original discussion of this, did you post a poll or anything in these communities to see the general reaction to the prospect?
I've always wondered why there are these two apparently redundant communities, but perhaps there are some subtle differences that I'm not aware of.
