Taurine is synthesised in the body from cisteine so a dietary source is not needed.

My point is, does anyone want to call out harvey_rrit directly, or are we going to be passive vegans?

I don't think we should necessarily be encouraging posts to a user's personal page here, particularly if they are intended to be argumentative. Having a discussion in this community and gathering ideas is obviously just fine, but we have a rule directly in our userprofile here that says not to link to personal journals.

What they said above, and also vegan athletes are rockin' with their continued wins who if that poster feels personally threatened by a particular vegan they probably have good reason. They should feel free to google vegan athletes and sporting persons, I'm too lazy to list them as there's tons these days, but I'll name one: Scott Jurek, the ultramarathoner who kept on winning on a vegan diet, even on a raw food one at one point - I recently read his book - making and keeping several records. If a vegan can *win* *many* ultramarathons then I don't give a fig about ignorant yokels trying to make out they're smarter because they eat any animal's any ingredient.

They should get a biochemistry and medical degree and prove try to prove their theories. I might actually care to listen to their opinions then.

This is a post in his personal journal where he is entitled to post all of the nonsense he wants, and it's only one of many similarly nonsensical posts. It will be a long time till he realizes he's not as smart as he thinks he is, and we're not going to be able to hasten that process no matter how much we flame his journal. All we would do is prove his theory that all vegans are argumentative jerks wanting to push their agenda on everyone.
