That's a really inspiring post, very eye opening....I'll forward it to people even tho unfortunately it's a bit late to help support the 19th of May campaign.

Could I add you to my friends list please? Your livejournal is very interesting - we're mutual members of the naturalliving community =)

Much Love

thank you very much, but other than the public posts of political awareness, i don't post. i use livejournal for my friends page and communities. you can add me but it won't really be worth your while. but that's very flattering of you to ask. thank you.

I added you. We don't have much in common.
That could be something very nice.

I found your post in Darren's LJ..

Sadly, there's sort of a few obvious flaws to the "dont' buy gas email".. which seems to have been passed around in tons of different variations. Since nothing has ever happened from all the other times, I guess it's safe to assume that the email won't really do anything. Lets say nobody buys gas for a day, they'll still all go driving everywhere, and they'll have to buy gas the next day. Same arguement could be used for adbusters "buy nothing day". Even if nobody bought gas and more importantly, didn't drive... it would only be a 1/365 loss, about a 5th of a percent.

Maybe I should start my own email forwarding campaign...

"STOP DRIVING YOUR FUCKING CARS"

forward it to everyone :)

Anyways, peace! Just wanted to say hi, then I got carried away.

yeah, people should start driving their cars but sometimes they have no other option. adbusters "buy nothing day" is orchestrated for the day after thanksgiving, the busiest shopping day of the year. it's not nessacarily "don't by anything today so you can buy more tomorrow" but rather, "make a testament against all consumers"
i just post things in my journal publically that i think others will be interested in.
but thanks for your imput and i am always open to a new perspective.
