this is a quote that i found in Slaughterhouse Five. it’s not by Vonnegut. i don’t know who it’s by but i love it. All i know it’s a serenity prayer.

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can
And wisdom always to tell the difference.”

I believe that part of it is the trademark prayer of a famous saint. I forget which.
