For those just tuning in, the sentiment was in response to comments in ontd_feminism which argue that veg*nism is a white, middle class privilege. Some, such as this one, suggest that those veg*ns who try to suggest others make changes should not because of this privilege.

This is a valid argument, to some extent at least, but not when the person they are trying to persuade is also white and middle-class!

*facepalm*

As many in that community love to say, check your privilege!
