The meals on the bus (Review: Rootmaster)

Under normal circumstances I would have to say that I do not like bus transportation. For long distance travel trains will do nicely, thank you very much.

But tonight I wasn't going anywhere- other than to dinner. This ment going on a bus. An old route master from 1967 to be precise. You know one of those old, red double decker buses you can just ( Read more... )

Rootmaster is located in Elys Yard off Brick Lane in London.

Sure is. And I'll come with you too.

The tofu tower sounds delish! And what a cool place to eat dinner.

I'm hungry now.

Though it's a pity the bus is no longer mobile (though I guess it is one workaround for the dissonance between trying to be environmentally friendly, and 1960's diesel engine technology).

Having the bus drive around the country would be cool though- a roving restaraunt!

Am looking forward to trying this sometime soon. Are you a London vegan? Mind if I add you?

If you're ever oop North can I reccommend Dandelion and Burdock in Sowerby Bridge? I can't beleive there's a vegan restaurant three miles from where I grew up - and a delicious one at that.

Hello. I'm a vegan who has recently moved to London, so does that make me a London vegan?? ;)

Feel free to add me, thanks for the recommendation. I'm simply amazed at how easy it is to be vegan over here.

Will you be going to the vegan festival on Sunday?

And may I ask how you came upon this lj?

Might do. I'm only party a London vegan. I live in Yorkshire, but work in London Tuesday - Thursday (plus other days from tiem to time).

Vegan festival on Sunday? Not sure - I think I've missed hearing about it (I'll be travelling from Kent to Gatwick on Sunday so may be able to make something like that).

Being vegan in the UK does seem to be getting easier. I was lucky when I went veggie then vegan I was living in Nottingham which was (and probably still is) a great place to find veg*n food.

Sure - I followed a link in vegan_snark.

Ah I love vegan_snark... I swear I'd be a more bitchy person in real life if that community wasn't there.

Yeah the London Vegan Festival is on Sunday, see...

And I spent the most of the last year being the only vegan I knew IRL. So London is still fabulous and shiny!
