A good thought. I would append a similar thought: "Just because you can be anything does not mean that you can be everything."

that, too, is very true.

and i think these two thoughts together mean that i should not take a class this summer and that i'll be more than fine doing organic rather than physical chemistry for my phd.

what are you doing this summer? [when is summer for you?]
