well, my dad went to west point and he says that it was the best thing he ever did, but then again my dad is crazy. he only had my mother to keep contact with in high school cuz they both sorta left their small oklahoma (that looks wrong) town friends and never looked back. on the other hand, he made friends at west point that he's kept his entire life. but u get that at other colleges too ( ... )

basically all of "our little posse of buds" is gonna be lost...i'm not goin with anyone i know to VaTech (if i get in) just like you'll only (maybe) go to the academy with Molstad...to be honest we may only know one or 2 other people on any out of state campus so i wouldn't really take that into consideration...either way you won't have time for many friends other than weekends, sports games and studying.

also, to be honest, i've wanted to go to VaTech since i was probably 10 or 11, but when it came down to it, i didn't want to be there, and i didn't apply early decision cus i was affraid of the commitment or rejection, there was no turning back if i was accepted and i'd be crushed if rejected...but once i visited and talked with professors, students, and other faculty i totally changed my mind and was place back on the path and now i realize that it really is where i wanted to be all along.

i think that was one long sentance with many gramatical errors...lol

Well with more reading and stuff I guess I'm not as dead as originally considered. After the initial five weeks o' hell I do get to call people, I'll have a computer, and even be able to receive visitors on the weekends.

And I don't believe I would get the same crowd feeling at the Academy, it's at most a total of 5000 people and class sizes are like 20. It's got top rankings for student/teacher interaction.

Molstad: Does that mean you got a nomination? :)
