Demyx covered his ears, huddled in the corner of his room. He was whimpering, little lines of tears rolling down his flushing cheeks. He heard another crash, the sound of a body being shoved against the wall. Hard. It was a sickening sound to Demyx, who believed that everyone in the world should be friends and that there was no reason to harm each other.
If only Axel and Marluxia believed the same…
Ever since Xigbar had recruited their eleventh member, tension had been raised all about the castle. It started with an argument between Axel and Marluxia, something stupid that had to do with dinner. Then it grew, and became much more violent. It was non-stop fighting, and Demyx was unfortunate enough to always be around when most of the fights took place.
Axel was his best friend and he liked Marluxia. So why did they have to always fight? Why did there always have to be shouting echoing throughout the castle halls? Why did both Nobodies have to come to every meal with a new bruise or ten? Demyx didn’t understand, couldn’t understand.
So when he heard a pained cry-from VIII or XI, he wasn’t sure-he curled up more into his fetal ball, crying himself to sleep like he did every night.
