#sibspoilers - Room Rules
This game is turning out to be ridiculously controversial. But until we lift the ban on the DA2 in the main channel (date still in the works) here are the rules for the spoiler-centric channel.
It is your right to discuss it in an environment where you do not feel persecuted for your opinion. But with that right comes the responsibility of not persecuting other people for their opinions. This is not something I should have to spell out, but just in case, there it is.
No discussion of who is right when it comes to mages vs. templars. Period. Anyone who has finished the game knows that both sides have their faults when it comes to executing plans against the other (Orsino and Meredith are both retarded). Yes, there are good templars. Yes, there are good mages. But equally there are bad templars and bad mages, and neither group should be painted with a single brush. If that is your opinion, fine - but it is not an opinion that is currently allowed in the channel.
Any political or religious "discussion" about the game's factions is to be taken to the revelent rooms. This is more for arguments, really - I don't have a problem with people talking about the Chantry's role in the events of Act 3, or the relationship between the Grand Cleric and the templars, as long as it remains a discussion and not an argument. The minute you bring in real-world examples, however, it should be redirected to the relevent channel - #swomo or #sibpolitics
No discussion of Bioware's canon. Ever. If I hear the word 'canon' again I will break something. Your save file didn't work? That's a shame. I had that problem too. Lucky for me, I'm on PC and could use a save generator to recreate it. You may not have been so lucky. You can say so. But if you played with any of the default backgrounds and want to argue 'canon' then I will end your discussion with a sharp warning and a ban if you are a persistant offender.
