This sounds weird, but one of my favorite icebreaker prompts for writing groups is to have folks write about their elementary school lunch room. I find the results endlessly fascinating.

Other possible topics...

- your earliest memory
- your favorite photograph
- the first book that made you stay up all night reading

These are all great. I was actually just thinking about my elementary school lunchroom the other day, so I'll add it under Feb 2. If I don't fill any other dates, I'll pull the others, too.

Sometimes I think it's all dichtomy. :) Hope things are going OK for you? You're probably busier than a one-armed coat-hanger these days...
