Appearance/Personality: Kajimoto is a hardworking perfectionist that pushes himself to the limits and beyond to achieve his goals. Unafraid of striving for perfection, he will always strive to meet and exceed expectations, whether his own or his master’s.
Although he is always impeccably dressed while on duty, Kajimoto tends to dress to suit his whims or any given situation during his free time, often choosing to go with classy but eye catching styles that emphasize the well-tended body he’s spent years perfecting through dedicated exercise and training. He is fond of playing tennis, swimming, and has been known to enjoy the odd game of poker or two, when he isn’t indulging his need to perfect the limberness of his body through the use of yoga.
The soft spoken, violet-eyed brunette has a fondness for molding his lords into masterpieces and doesn’t hesitate to guide the unruly toward a path that leads them to success. While it is often frowned upon for butlers to sport piercings that are visible to the eye, Kajimoto sports one piercing in his left ear that he, somehow, makes looks classy enough that none of his employers or the school has ever called him on the carpet for it.
History: Born to parents of Japanese descent, Kajimoto Takahisa was orphaned at the age of fourteen with a younger sister whom he loved dearly. He fought against the system that threatened to tear him from her side, refusing to settle into a foster home until he was taken in hand by a kind but firm elderly man who had lived his life without off spring. It was with the help of his foster-father that Kajimoto found his sister in a children’s home nestled in the heart of the south, and it was with his determination to see his adopted son happy and adjusting well to his new life that the man approached her social worker setting into motion the second adoption that netted him and his wife a ready made family.
Though unruly and rebellious during the period in which his family was torn asunder, it did not take long for the patience and understanding of his adoptive parents to break through the rage that Kajimoto bottled up inside that while kept locked down occasionally made itself known when his hold on his temper would slip. Guided by his new father’s example, he molded himself into the perfect gentleman, fascinated by the touch of old south that colored everything the man did from serving his employer to his interaction with his wife and adopted children. It was with pride and fondness for his adopted father that he chose to follow in his footsteps, picking up the mantle of servant to the young lord he hoped to find that would be his and his alone to care for with patience, understanding, and the intent determination to help lead his future master to the success Kajimoto faithfully believes can be reached with the application of great will and stubborn refusal to lose, even to one’s self.
Upon learning of his son’s desires, Lance Covington approached his lord requesting that his newly turned sixteen year old son begin training as a butler. It was only after he had been thoroughly tutored under the guiding hand of his parents and other household staff that the lord contacted Lioncrest to enroll Kajimoto. Now, at the age of twenty-one he returns for yet another year and hopes that this one will see him finding the lord that he knows is waiting for him, after years of filling in for those young masters in need of a temporary replacement for their own servants while illness or obligations drew them away from their lords’ sides.
Journal sample: I have finally returned from my duties to the young master that drew me abroad these many months. His lordship was safely delivered to his family and firmly settled in, before I felt it safe for me to depart his side. Now, I am home again and realize that much has occurred since my leave-taking, most of which I hope someone will be kind enough to fill me in on once I have slept off the jet lag.
Tag sample: Kajimoto bowed his head respectfully to the headmaster, his violet gaze lowered toward the carpet beneath his feet. He listened intently, taking to heart each directive and expectation for his success that his host spoke of. It was good to be back; he thought with an inner smile, though none of his happiness over his return to campus showed on his features.
This year would be the year he found his master, the brunette mused with a surge of excited anticipation. He had taken many lords in hand these last few years, serving each with loyalty and determination to do his best in leading them down the path they should take, until each returned to their families bettered by the experience. Yes, this would definitely be the year Fate smiled upon him, and he couldn’t wait to see the results of her blessings in the form of a master of his own.
Anything else: While Kajimoto has been absent the last few months due to the requests of his previous master’s family that he personally escort the boy home and help to settle him in, he has been a faithful servant of the academy since the age of sixteen when his father’s lord sought to find him the ultimate course of training to help him achieve his goal of becoming a first class butler.
It’s a well known fact amongst the butlers of long standing enrollment that his sister resides at the bottom of the mountain. She followed him to Japan upon turning nineteen refusing to be separated from her older brother ever again. Taking up residence in the village at the base of the mountain, she faithfully awaits her brother’s visits while lovingly tending the children enrolled at the daycare center she works for.
