Oooooh, suicide songs. That wasn't meant to be enthusiastic in a gleeful way, but yes, it would be an interesting collection to study. I'm sure I've got a few sitting around at home, although I can't recollect which ones just yet.
I know it wasn't meant to be. ;) I think everyone has one or two songs like these. But not everyone ends their lives over them, right? *hopes*
I've yet to read the Goethe book. Should I be afraid? :) We were joking around with my friend, she asked me to lend it to her once I finished. I told her I would bequeth her the book. XD
I can't believe how much substance each of your updates has. I don't know how you do it.
But I thought I'd add that Venetian Snares, an electronic music artist, has done his own rendition of the song, called "Öngyilkos Vasárnap" on his Rossz Csillag Alatt Született album. I'm sure it slightly resembles the original, but if you listen to it, you should expect a bit of craziness.
Aw. ♥ I just live my life and I keep on run against these things.
Yep, I have that song too. Although I have forgotten about it. *blushes* I downloaded the song from audiography and it's in god-knows-which folder. :D There is another trademark suicide song from a late Hungarian band F.O. System, "Öngyilkos Vágyak". Unfotunately I couldn't find it anywhere. But the lyrics in itself is really powerful.
