Julianne Moore is amazing, I have her in my top 15. :)
Did you know, the Virgin was supposed to have red hair, and was called La Rousse? *nods* I have read "The Virgin Blue" by Tracy Chevalier ages ago, and vaguely remember that it was sobriquet for having a "suspicious" red hair...or something?
It's one of Tracy's best works, right alongside "The Girl with the Pearl Earring". Red hair is suspicious in Tracy's story because the Huguenots wanted to do away with anything associated with mariolatry. Also, witches are supposed to have red hair, and I am remembering Baba Yaga, as well as Bulgakov's she-demon in "The Master and Maragarita". But then I remember Titian's beautiful Virgins with the baby, and red hair is beautiful and bright and I always feel they are more courageous and free-spirited than the rest of us. You can see that I am a bit envious of people with red hair. *laughs*
♥ Beautifully said. I'm with you on every accord. Redheaded people (especially women to me) are beautiful and fascinating creatures. :) ...you ain't lived till you've had your tires rotated by a redheaded woman. Bruce Springsteen knew something. :D
Hello! I'm the girl from pannkaka's LJ, remember? I added you, because your taste in music seems quite good, we share some interests and quite some friends. Want to add me back? :D
