Alright....working with lissfury

Okay, here's the deal, late.
lissfury and I had a shoot, I believe on June 5th. Anyway, about 10 minutes before the shoot lissfury gives me a call, her dog has run away but she found her and will probably be about 20 or so minutes late. No problem, a cancellation, I got problems; a little late from an understandable situation, no problem. lissfury shows up, we smile at ( Read more... )

Thanks, I am trying to be better in tune when things aren't flowing so I don't waste film or anyone's time. I think it can be a feeling and philosophy such that when one is understood the feeling of flow can be maintained...I could be grossly wrong however. I really wish there was someone as cool as yourself here in Michigan to create with or at least discuss photography with.

Anyway, there are a few stunners I am really happy with and some that point to the need to revise and go back. lissfury smoked man, she did very well. I think I will give myself another 2 weeks or so before showing the work, it depends on how distant I feel from the shots.

I understand what you mean about that emotional attachment to a photograph, I have too many of those myself. I always remember the shots that kicked me off to shooting differently...but only recently can I admit they are beginnings and have to go as I revise down the line. I am damned thankful to the models that have caused this to happen to me, however. really damned thankful.

hmmmm...yes, distance is good but my idea is to only toss it if "I" don't like it. The distance I want has nothing to do with others liking it or not, I want to be far removed from that; I want to not care whether the public likes them or not. I want to be able to "see" the shot fully, so I can assess whether I am improving or not.
