Has this happened to you? You find a model you really want to work with and bang; then you find out they are 17. This ruins everything. It is damned weird to film a 17 year old with Mommy's cold eyes on your back. It is like a constant prayer in my head, "Please god don't let her look too hot...or my Black ass is going to jail

I know how that goes. nobody would shoot me when I was 17 even though my mother was willing to go with and read a book.

I have shot some 17 year olds with mothers who were way cool. I would do it again but I would NOT make a habit of it. Just the liability is too high. I would need two forms the standard consent form and one saying nothing untoward went on and have to have them both signed and witnessed, yadda yadda ya. Hey that reminds me, when are you gonna come out and model? It has been what, two years??? I remember thinking you would be amazing on film.

I havent modelled in a well over a year.
I guess I'm worried that most photographers arenti nterested since I dont have enough experience. I've only had 4 shoots in my life and photographers couldnt even take a good picture of me. I cringed when I seen the results. maybe I just feel limited because I know I can take a better picture of myself.

Possibly. But I really only work with amatuers. I don't want someone with a lot of experience. My experience with well...er...um experienced models is that they suck. I have to break up a lot of bad habits that don't work for me as a photographer and they are god damned resistant to learning for the most part. They want to keep on doing it the way they have always done it and that of course only works with those they have worked with previously. Give me an amatuer who laughs when I trip and fall in a puddle, that girl I can show beautifully. Just my opinion of course.

As far as a lack of interest on whomevers part, don't count me in with them. I ain't been in with them in Michigan, I ain't joining up, I don't like their work and methods, and THEY already know, dig?

I don't really know what I can say besides try a shoot with me, if you don't like it at least now you know. And if not still I think you would have done grandly in front of my lens.

LOL, had a 21 year old once that wanted to do school girl pics, didn't think about much as we were really having fun shooting and she wasn't even nekked in any. Then looking at the pictures... it struck me, she looked so damn young, seriously like 15, never showed them. Was a pitty because this one awesome shot, she had her tongue sticking out licking a green lolly pop, her tongue was all green too. Was awesome but damn, made me think that this would be the first pic some perv would see in a series of kiddy porn!!!

So it's not just under aged but what people will interpret... guess you just have to be the judge in the end. ;-)

heheheheh...yes, if they can't sign a release I generally say no. If their parents will sign a release and they are 2 weeks from their 18th birthday, I might considerate...otherwise no.
