bgirl420, back to our irregularly scheduled journal entry
Jan 05, 2008 08:26
After the shoot with Marissa below, bgirl420 and I had an experimental session. We tested different lighting effects with the intent of taking what we learned and using it in a formal session.
Thanks. The blue shot, from the following journal entry, was not modified much. If you know how to mess with film at the taking and processing stage you get very strong and odd results without a lot of post-production work. These are pretty much how I shot them with slight modifications to contrast.
I think studio work with me always looks different than outside work as I am somewhat of an 'emotional' shooter. I don't feel, I guess the word would be, 'even' when I am working studio stuff so the work kind of reflects that. So how are things? Last we talked you were editing some work. -KevintheVerbose
hehehehe....maybe never getting caught up with the editing is a good thing. At least it means you are busy. Yes, these were done on film quite awhile before I had the digital camera. Manipulation with film comes more natural to me than with the digital process. The studio stuff will consist of film if I find the need to use my wide angle lens (won't work on the 20d and above), if not they'll be digital. -KevintheVerbose
