00:48:32: For the first time in.. I dunno, years, I put off a ton of homework for the siren call of fanart. Apparently I still racka disciprine T_T
18:07:53: HAH. My director just had another animator hold my arms so I wouldn't punch him for telling me to dump all the animation I did in response to his last critique, and go back to the way I had

LOL I think it's more that we're nearing crunch time and he realizes everyone's kinda almost at their limit. Though also we'd been arguing over how the shot/action would be most effective--it looked good my way, but maybe not appropriate, so I tried it his way and it didn't look good but it made more sense in context...? Anyway, it was more like he wanted me to split the difference between "our" takes on the scene, but using mine as the base. /vague
Yeaaah, pretty much. I'm kind of getting used to some variations on this theme from some other profs over crits, actually--I might make no adjustments to a given scene between class meetings, and the prof will look at it and comment on how such-and-such is so much better than last time ^_^;;
Heh, that's what you get for being in something like animation--all of it probably starts out vague. I just can't imagine doing all of that work to figure out, yup, that totally doesn't work. ;)
And on a completely off-topic note, I just saw the recent episode of 'Glee', and thank God for that 'Sunset Blvd' song for Kurt. I've been so terribly disheartened since that duet between him and Blaine that I've been avoiding 'Glee' a bit. =P Now I'm so very happy again, and at least I can live with the comfort that "Baby It's Cold Outside" was their first duet and I can pretend that other one never existed.
I think it also doesn't help that we sooort of actually have two directors and they both have different opinions on what the animation/acting should be like. And then NEITHER OF THEM were there for our "final" critique work day before our cleanup/inking day is scheduled. THANKS GUYS.
Ahhh you didn't miss much between the bleh Regionals episode and this one :D (Like I think there's actually only been one episode between them because of the break, and not much happened in that one except for Blaine and Kurt and Santana triple-teaming on closet-case Karofsky.) Kurt and Blaine both have awesome voices, and I'm just.. befuddled that they chose one for their big Couple Duet that was so inappropriate for them :/ But yeah, I think they kind of made up for it with this last ep (though I still want them to have a pretty duet at some point) wherein EERRRRRVERYBODY sounded super good ^_^

Unfortunately, I think you're going to get a lot of that when you get into the actual business, so might as well get used to it now?
