Just checking in-- I was nowhere near the collapsed bridge. So far have not heard of anyone I know who was involved in the incident. It is pretty surreal, though. They are still out searching in boats and I have no idea how they can do much of anything while it is dark out.

I've seen the boats before - they have incredibly bright lights and they basically drag along the water. It's never a good sign. Living so close to the Washington Ave. bridge, I'm sadly used to seeing them drag for the bodies of jumpers. I can't believe this happened. I'm glad that you and E are safe and sound too.
