After reading several entries regarding destroying the carousel all together, I must implore you, my fellow citizens:

Do Not Do So! At least, not yet.

Please keep in mind that if this mechanism is the "heart" of the city, than it would stand to reason that there would be some form of defense measure, not to mention the horrors themselves.

I understand many of you may not care terribly if you injure yourself, but please keep in mind: I live there, as does Ms. Hammond, and niether of us would care to lose our homes at any time in the near future.

Beyond that we must consider whether or not destroying the carousel would likewise cause all of our respective worlds of origin to likewise be destroyed, freeze in thier own time stream, or any number of temporal phenomena.

In short: The hasty stroke oft goes astray. We must better understand how the mechanism works, and what it's effects are on our worlds of origin before attempting to destroy it utterly.
