Four days running of various curses?
This is a new record...

During the curse day when so much of the city was emptied I returned to the Underground to have a look at my renovated home.
( Which is very much improved, you have my eternal gratitude Jan. )

I was feeling somewhat restless, and thus decided to examine more of the Underground, now that the trains are running on schedule again.
After a measure of exploration I came to the mechanism, and it's subsequent antechambers.

The clockworks were not damaged during the explosion, which I had suspected, but as I looked, I noted that some of the 'gear shift' areas ( for lack of a better term. Reference images are available here) are in different configurations than they had been previously.
Also, much of the mechanism has become rather tarnished. I would even venture to say unnaturally aged?

Hmm, perplexing in of itself, but it raises the question: How much time are we left now?

Beyond this, I believe my previous 'Noah's Ark' theory merits more in depth study, and as such, I am undertaking the project of compiling data on the varying worlds and nations represented amongst 'Mad City.'

That is to say, I intend to begin interviewing as many citizens from as many worlds as I may.
Perhaps a pattern will emerge, or perhaps there is more to be found in the various methods of entry one may be subject to upon first arriving in this city.

First, I would like to offer a few basic questions to begin the process of filtering out those who share a world of origin, from those who do not, and to have a base idea of popular opinion.

Interview Questions

1. How long have you been in the city?
(a) How did you arrive here?
(b) Have you, or anyone you know found exit?
(c) Did you, or anyone you know, leave and return?
(d) More than once?

2. Have you tried to stop the Countdown? Are you concerned at all with The End?

3. Have you conversed with any of the newer deities? If so, who among them, and what was said?

4. Granted, most loathe and despise this city, but what gives you comfort, or makes the confinement easier to bare? Conversly, what causes more irritation?

5. Do you intend to look for an exit for yourself, or possibly a loved one?

1. How long have you been in the city? 9 months, 2 days, and 14 hours.
(a) How did you arrive here? I died, and instead of a more conventional afterlife, was transported here.
(b) Have you, or anyone you know found exit? Yes, several aquaintences.
(c) Did you, or anyone you know, leave and return? Mr. Sunderland, and Miss Evelynne both found exit and returned, though were unsure how this occurred.
(d) More than once? There was a young girl who once travelled through the fountain often....she is not within the city anymore, however.

2. Have you tried to stop the Countdown? Are you concerned at all with The End? Yes, though I will not go into how, for I am certain it is known.

3. Have you conversed with any of the newer deities? If so, who among them, and what was said?
Yes, I have had conversations with Mouse, and she attacked the host creature when it was attacking me within the hospital.

She was less than forthcoming regarding my questions, however.

4. Granted, most loathe and despise this city, but what gives you comfort, or makes the confinement easier to bare? Conversly, what causes more irritation?

Evey is my comfort...

Irritation stems from the frustration of being unable to find solid answers to many of the questions that affect so many.
Also, to an extent, some of the curses have been rather trying.

5. Do you intend to look for an exit for yourself, or possibly a loved one?

I am looking for exit for Evey.
I am a dead man, and it would be unnatural to be returned to life.
