it makes me hopeful that people are trying to DO something with the foster care system!

we just admitted a guy on wednesday (an 18yo) from foster care.
sweet kid. he's got a horrible history of mental illness in his family--it's amazing he's survived.

I have a great appreciation for Dr. Phil and his support of kids, music education, and people as a whole. I saw the episode you write of, and was extremely impressed by the woman who started TreeHouse. Very cool. Such a great idea!! Communities in Africa have been living in a village setting for eternity, and I like the idea of having a multi-generational environment. I'd move in! :-)
