We've been trying to find a way to get sushi delivered here in Eugene. There's a local service called "Pony Express" that delivers from about 30-50 places, but unfortunately, none of those places has sushi. The closest we've found is that you can get takeout sushi at the local Asian Buffet, but their sushi is (not surprisingly) not the best. They also charge $5/lb, so it's not the best deal, either (although it is when you go in and only get sushi, which is the only reason I go there). The closest thing we've found is to get one of those pre-made 40 sushi rolls from Costco (which are much better than the buffet's sushi) for $13 and to take it home.
Neither does sushi from an Asian Buffet. But if I'm craving sushi (particularly in my current financial situation), it's by far the best value. Even when I have money, sushi at a sushi restaurant is far too expensive for me. I don't mind the tradeoff, even if it is the "white-trash" of sushi ;-)
take home from the restaurant at which I work - the Shavings of the prime rib to make sandwhiches and soups.
at home and need food. I don't believe I have ordered it delivered in several years due to food allergies, but I believe I would have to say it used to be -BBQ Ribs - and country fries with a pint of ice cream (they probably should have included a hospital wrist label for the heartattack that came with it) .. and the food was succulent. But I don't live in Milwaukee anymore, which is where I used to get those delivered.
wait! I take that back. Best food delivery would be talking to the boyfriend whining that I hadn't had cake or brownies or cookies for so long and that I wish I could just order from a bakery around here.... They showed up an hour later. Delivery charge was pretty cheap too... [wink]
