We did deadlifts, farmers run, push up (modified for me), rowing, and a couple of exercises with a pvc pipe that seemed like a combination of yoga-full body movement.
I am not sure what I think of it yet. I'm, of course, comparing it to Bootcamp.
bootcamp is very circuit training whole body movement focused, it's in a park so minimal equipment.
cross fit definitely has the gym mentality.. weights, rowing machines, etc...but it has more of a rocky gym mentality.. hanging ropes, punching bags, rope ladders, etc. Whether the tech makes it more effective or not , I'm not sure.
Both work with heart rate and whole body movements.
I think that Cross Fit does more extended work on one body part whereas circuit training tends to move around.
It's hard to know much after a day. My work out did not feel as hard as bootcamp workouts but it was day 1 of a training class and much was focused on form.
I'm going to give a few months so I can get a real comparison.
