Will my resolution to use this journal more fail like 90% of all resolutions.

So, my initial reaction to The Witcher can really be summed up by this Noelle Stevenson tweet.

Me 5 minutes ago: eh ok we can try Witcher even though it seems like generic fantasy
Me 5 mins into Witcher: wait I forgot I love generic fantasy

While I agree with some of the comments, there are limitations to book adaptations, I even was doing an exercise recently dissecting how exactly an adaptation of books was done into series (not Witcher thru), when you start thinking about it there are things that unfortunately need to be cut out, and some added for clarity. I encourage you to read the books the series is based on, it might change your mind slightly about the whole story or make you hate the adaptation. I know, I had a lot of reservations when they announced the series, about their choice of actor for Geralt, about how all it will be done, and now I must say I’m pleasantly surprised 😲 while I love series Yennerfer, I still love the books one more, same with Cirilla, but there is no competition between them for me.

That saying treatment of Yennefer storyline, and disabled person is actually coming from the books. Not literary, as Sapkowski never goes in so many details, however as we discover Yennevers history it is shown in such way.
