food help

what do you do with cans of peas and carrots? the awful kind where the carrots are cut into weird cubes. i plan on making a brisket and adding a couple of cans to it in the last hour, but that still leaves me with, oh, eight cans left.

they're big enough for that, then? cool. i'm searching for recipes specifically to use these things up, passing over a fabulous bean soup recipe. i've never even made a brisket before, but i WILL so i can use up these possessed things.

well, i mix the veggies with rice, and sometimes add tofu. i don't think they're enough on their own.

lol yeah, not just by itself. my mom made the comment that if she added them we wouldn't eat it, so we'll see how it goes.

Donate them to a food pantry? No just, kidding. Hungry people deserve better.

So, you could make shepherd's pie. Canned veggies of that type are generally pretty inoffensive as the veggie component of that dish, especially if you season them a bit before you throw them in.
